Eating meat does not make you superior… NOR does being vegan.
Culturally, we ate meat based on availability and where we lived in the world. Yes, factory farming is atrocious… But that is not what I choose or teach people to choose.
The Lion King said it best, there is a circle of life. Human are omnivore. The truth is, food corporations have made food so far remove of what it is.. People seek false idealisms in veganism.
Eating meat is not the problem. The problem is not ethical – in the wild, the lion kills for a feed and mother nature does not bat an eye. In fact the lion MUST kill to keep a balance of predator and prey with the land. If we had only prey, the prey would eat everything on the land and be unchallenged. Nature demands a balance. The ethical dilemma of killing for food is not one man will ever solve.
The problem (I believe) is political. More to the point, the stupid-obsene control companies like Monosanto, Cargill, ADM, Philip Morris have over our food supply. They call the shots.
Vegan or meat eater, if you don’t realise these companies are the problem your stuck in the delusion of ignorance.
If your a vegan and don’t buy local, your no better than the ones you judge buying factory farmed meat. Your giving money to the same people supporting their cause of controlling the food supply further.
